How the #$@& will we top the last episode?
To say we are our worst critics is an understatement. One thing CK and I have in common is the absolute certainty that the music has be be quality produced or it ‘ain’t going on’.
We know it is hard for most of our fans to clearly understand what we mean by Quality Sound because it all sounds good to them. That is great. However, to us if the baseline is not strong enough to bend metal and the trebles’ of the cymbals does not break glass it just is not good enough. We can find radio quality music anywhere, but the high quality studio version mixes are what we are after and want to pass onto our fans as part of the Listening Party.
Wizardry at its Best
The last 12 Episodes of RAR Live have been near magical as far as the production. We have tested out a few things we know are working and are continually testing new ways of doing things in each of our production meetings. Finding an easy way to produce quality is what we are after, but as is anything to do with producing quality there are FEW shortcuts. So, putting together one of these Listening Parties is not easy..but it is fun.
What makes the tasks of producing a weekly Listening Party fun to us is when the creativity and discovery of quality tracks start coming together in the weekly Skype production meetings. We get excited over what we think you will get excited about which makes the long hours of hammering these parties out worth it. How we know we have hit the mark is when YOU tell us we hit the mark.
Let the Party Begin
In a few minutes CK and I will again enter our world of the high test Gasoline to StinkFist out another Psycho driven episode of a Random Access Radio Listening Party. To get there we will spend a few hours listening to crap to find the diamond of a track we want to share with you. That is where the Listening Party begins.
Of course, we have our favorites and we will admit that Elton John and Lady GaGa may not make the cut, but if either of them do a version of Crazy Train…aaaahhh..maybe. That is why what we do is Random.
So, here we go, 7 months after taking on the direction of pumping out random tracks of rock music we are still excited to the possibilities of Episode #31 being another party to remember. Hope you are there Tuesday, June 22, 8:30PM for the Green Room..9:15EST for the start of the Party that goes on strong until 11:15PM EST to find out with us if it worked…and we REALLY hope you will comment to the blogs we write or to the Survey or send us an email if you want to be all private and stuff. That helps us to know we have people listening.

This is ALL so true! The weekly direction is to top last weeks show and also to find that “gem” of a track that will perk up your ears. I see more fun stuff coming up this week. I would do what Scot says, come and see us Tuesday night here on RAR and listen to what “amateur” production sounds like…I think it is far from “amateur” myself. What do you think?
